How to match tracked equipment in Knowify and FleetSharp

With Live Equipment Tracking from Knowify + FleetSharp, you can see the GPS location of your tracked equipment live in Knowify. (Learn more: Live equipment tracking in Knowify)

Once you’ve connected Knowify to your FleetSharp account, the next step is to match each piece of Equipment in Knowify with the vehicles and equipment you’re tracking in FleetSharp.

If your account is connected to FleetSharp, you'll see a new field in the Equipment section that allows you to associate each piece of equipment to a FleetSharp tracker. This step links FleetSharp trackers to your existing equipment so they can appear on the Activity Map in Knowify with live status and location pulled from FleetSharp. 

Before you start, make sure:

• Your FleetSharp account is already connected to Knowify
• Your vehicle/equipment trackers have been installed and activated in FleetSharp
• You have Admin access in Knowify

How to match Knowify Equipment to FleetSharp trackers:

1. In Knowify, go to Admin → Equipment
2. Locate the equipment you want to match, and click Edit on that equipment record (or click "Add new equipment")
3. Click on the Tracker field to open the dropdown list. The dropdown shows a list of trackers that have been activated in FleetSharp.
4. Select the appropriate tracker for that piece of equipment, and click Save.

Once saved, that piece of equipment in Knowify will be linked to the corresponding GPS tracker in FleetSharp, and its real-time location will be added to the Activity Map in Knowify.
