How to purchase materials against inventory

You can purchase against inventory by assigning the purchased items to an inventory location.

The quantity in inventory will be updated when the items in the purchase are marked as received. Paying for those items will not increase the inventory quantity.

After creating a new purchase order with the items assigned to inventory, you will have to manually mark when an item has been received. It is not until this action has been completed that the quantity in parts inventory will be updated.
