After the onboarding session of connecting Knowify and QB Desktop, in order to establish a connection with Knowify to transfer data to/from QB, we would need:
- The QB file running on the same computer we processed the onboarding
- The web connector open and running (in the background is fine, it just needs to be open)
To find the web connector, you can open QB and click File -> App Management -> Update Web Services:
This will open the web connector which can be minimized or left on the page. Be aware that if the Web Connector is closed, Knowify and QuickBooks will not be able to sync until it is reopened.
Warning
After the onboarding we should not be modifying any of the information in this web connector. It just needs to be running but if we alter any of the data in the form, it could cause the connection to become unlinked and require a new onboarding to re-establish
