These are a few important considerations:
1. QuickBooks requires that you're the Admin on the machine you're using, and that you're in Single User Mode inside QuickBooks. Once this is true, you can start the conn "Establish connection with Sync Manager" in Knowify. Note: Single User Mode is only required to establish the initial connection. Afterwards to can switch to multi user.
2. On the QuickBooks side, you'll see this modal asking for authorization to access your company file. Give us access even if QuickBooks isn't running.
3. In the Application Certificate you might see the name of Agave. Agave is our provider of this QuickBooks Desktop integration.
4. The onboarding specialist will send over an email with a configuration file (which should be opened on the same device that QB is stored) and a password.
5. When we open this configuration file, you will see the Quickbooks Web connector open with "Knowify Dev by Agave" as an entry in this list. We'll refer back to the email to enter the password, then press enter on your keyboard to lock it in:
6. The onboarding specialist will then confirm the QB file name matches your file and will start to import your lists of customers, vendors, items, chart of accounts, payment terms, and classes into Knowify.
