When you create an AIA invoice in Knowify and sync it to Quickbooks, the retainage will be factored into the total as a line item adjustment:
After the job is billed in Knowify, you'll have the option to create a retainage invoice separately
And, this invoice will sync to Quickbooks just like any normal invoice, using your default account for income:
You can use the Retainage Report in Knowify to keep track of retainage amounts across all active AIA jobs in Knowify:
