Invoicing AIA without progress invoicing restrictions

When preparing an AIA invoice you will have the option to waive progress invoicing restrictions (formerly known as free mode). This will allow the user to manually adjust information that is typically locked in and calculated automatically, such as the pay application number and retainage. 

To invoice without progress billing restrictions check the box at the bottom of the page when building an AIA invoice:

This will open up the pay application number box to be edited and allow the user to make manual adjustments to retainage:

Please note, when waiving progress invoicing restrictions you are taking progress invoicing out of Knowify's hands to make manual adjustments and will need to keep track of past/future billings:

Tip

Waiving progress invoicing restrictions is most commonly used to catch Knowify up on an existing job or if you need to make one of the schedule of values exempt from retention
