With Service Pro, your service techs can invoice your customers and collect payment for service jobs right from the Knowify mobile app. (Related: How to enable users with mobile invoicing for service jobs)
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Create an Invoice
Once they've completed a service job, technicians can create a detailed invoice in just a few seconds. Scroll to the bottom of the job and select "Invoices." There you can either create a new invoice, or view previously created invoices. Confirm the invoice details, such as payment terms and invoice items, to continue.
If you'd like to email a copy of the invoice to your customer, select "Send email to customer" at the bottom of the screen before finalizing the invoice. When you're finished, select "Finalize Invoice" to proceed to the invoice summary screen.
To edit an invoice, navigate to the job details section of the app then click the invoices button at the bottom right. You can then select from a finalized invoice. Click the edit button to make changes to a previously submitted invoice:
Step 2: Send the invoice
At the bottom of the invoice summary screen, you'll see the option to "Send via email." Selecting this option will allow you to confirm the client's email address and preview the invoice before sending it to the customer. If you're using Knowify to process online payments, the invoice will include a secure payment link, allowing customers to pay by credit card or ACH.
Step 3: Collect payment
If your customer is ready to pay immediately, Service Pro offers several options for collecting payment on-site:
-
Scan-to-Pay: Back on the invoice summary screen, tap “Pay Now” to open scan-to-pay. Scanning this QR code will direct your customer to our secure payment portal where they can pay via credit card or ACH.
-
Manual Payment Entry: If preferred, your technicians can open the payment portal by tapping "Click here to make a payment" on the scan-to-pay screen, where they can manually enter the customer’s card details and submit the payment via the payment portal on their own device.

Any payments collected in the field are automatically reconciled with the corresponding job and invoice in real-time, ensuring that your records stay accurate and up-to-date.
Service Pro makes it easy to invoice customers and collect payments for service jobs while you're still on-site. Get paid quickly and efficiently without having to head back to the office.
