Any user with mobile access can submit a purchase from the field, however by default, the PO# is not directly visible to the user on the app. There is a permission titled Enable PO Pre-approval on mobile which will allow the user to obtain a PO number from the field, regardless of approval limits or the total of the PO.
Before turning this feature on, the setting Enable setting to allow mobile users to issue draft purchase orders must be enabled. This can be found in the Admin section of Knowify, under Customize -> features -> Cost Management
This setting allows draft POs to be saved on mobile, and is important in a case where the PO process is interrupted (the user gets a call, loses signal, battery dies, etc.)
Once this setting is enabled, the Permission ‘Enable PO Pre-approval on mobile’ can be enabled for specific users
Whenever this user submits a PO from the field, it will be assigned a PO number at the time of entry on the mobile app:
Users can also have an approval limit set in Knowify and any purchases they submit up to and including this limit will be automatically approved. Any purchase above their limit will allow them to obtain a PO # on the app but it will not be job costed until it is approved by their direct manager or account admin
