Actual vs Committed Cost

In your admin section, under the customize tab, you have the ability to toggle reporting cost in Knowify as a Committed or Actuals. 

A committed cost is an open PO (or part of an open PO) that has not yet been added to a vendor bill(s). An actual cost is the bill logged against the PO to represent us being billed from the vendor. 

With this feature checked, Knowify will not show a cost to the job until a bill is logged:

Please note, purchases paid with cash/credit card are treated as actual costs as they are recognized as paid up front and are not awaiting a bill from the vendor.
