When adding a change order in Knowify, the change order is reflected on the contract side of the job to be factored into revenue. In order to manage specific costs (labor, materials, subcontractors) associated with a change order, we'll need to add a job phase to the Plan&Track section of the job.
When creating your jobs in simple mode, regardless of the line items on the contract, everything will be pointed to one general job phase titled "Labor and Materials". In order to add a phase to track costs for a change order separately we'll first need to switch the Plan&Track section to edit mode (located at the bottom right of the screen):
Once in edit mode, click Add Job Phase:
In advanced mode, a job phase will automatically be added for each change order that is made active in the contract section.
When managing your jobs in Professional mode, you'll be able to automatically create a job phase for a given change order, by clicking the gear icon next to the change order name:
