Knowify offers two distinct reports designed to give you a complete overview of all relevant information on your jobs, including invoicing, time, and costing information. They are the Advanced Jobs Report and the Work In Progress or WIP Report. Each report has its own advantages, but the main difference is Advanced Jobs will cover the full life span of the jobs included on the report and WIP is designed to stay limited to a specific date range. See a more detailed breakdown below:
The Advanced Jobs Report:
You pull jobs created within a selected date range and Knowify will present all data from these jobs. This gives you a complete, strategic overview of these jobs from beginning to end of the project. Because Knowify is giving you a complete overview of the project, you may wind up with data outside of your selected range.
For example, If your reporting range is November 1st- November 30th, the report will pull all jobs created in November. If these jobs had change orders, invoices, etc. added after November 30th, that data will still be included as it is part of the jobs lifecycle.
WIP Report:
You select a date range and Knowify pulls in all jobs that were active and have data logged against them within that time frame. All data on the report is limited to the date range you select. If your reporting range is set for November 1st - November 30th, an invoice issued on December 1st will NOT show up on the report as it is outside of the date range selected
Any jobs that were Active during the selected date range will be considered 'in progress' and will be included on the report, even if no activity was logged. Please consider closing dormant or completed projects so they do not show up on reports unexpectedly
The Work In Progress Report may not be enabled in your account by default. To enable it, please reach out to Support@Knowify.com
