Knowify's Service Assets feature allows you to document and track installed pieces of equipment at a service location. This would include things like standby generators, HVAC systems, and display fountains. Associating a service asset to a job site saves time looking up information manually, and it allows for easy tracking of service history and significant events in the life of equipment.
To create a Service Asset, go to the Service Jobs section of Knowify, select Service Assets, and click 'Add new service asset'
From here you will be prompted to put in the basic information about the asset, including model, serial number, instillation date, and any notes about the unit. Most importantly, this is where you will add the Client and Address that this service asset will be associated with.
Be aware, in order for a Service Asset to show up as an option on a job, it must have the same client name and address as the job. If there is any difference, the Service Asset will not show up as an option.
The next time you create a service job or maintenance for this client and address, you will have the option to allocate the Service Asset to the job.
The Service Asset will automatically keep a record of all jobs it has been associated with, as well as all notes that have been saved to it for easy reference
