Connecting Knowify and Lumber allows you to streamline time entry, job costing, and payroll processing for construction projects while eliminating double data entry.
Here's what you need to get started:
An active integration between Knowify and Lumber. (Just getting set up? Learn how to connect your Knowify and Lumber accounts here.)
Optional: Knowify's prevailing wage add-on if you want to pass prevailing wage job classifications between systems. (The basic timecard sync still works without it.) This will streamline certified payroll and WH-347 reporting for Davis-Bacon jobs. Learn more about Knowify's prevailing wage add-on here.
Step 1: Log time in Knowify
-
Have your crew enter hours in Knowify against the right Project and Phase. For prevailing wage jobs, make sure to select the appropriate job classification for each time entry.

-
(Optional) Approve time in Knowify, if that’s part of your process.

Outcome: Hours are captured with project, phase, employee, and (if enabled) prevailing wage job classification.
Step 2: Sync time cards from Knowify to Lumber
In Lumber, go to Settings → Onboarding → CRM Connections and click the Sync icon next to Knowify.
Lumber will pull in the latest time entries from Knowify, including Employee, Project, and Phase — mapped to Employee, Project, and Task in Lumber.
That's it! Now you're ready to run payroll and generate certified payroll reports in Lumber using your time cards from Knowify.
