Once prevailing wage is set up on a job, when tracking time, the users can define which role applies to each time entry, both in the office:

This selected role then updates the rate at which time is tracked based on their base rate in comparison to the prevailing wage. So in the example of John Higgins below, this resource’s base rate is higher than the prevailing wage of Role 2, but lower than Role 3, so we can see three entries, one where John makes his base rate, one in which he’s assigned Role 2, but still making his base rate, and one in which he’s assigned Role 3, and the prevailing wage prevails:
Users approving time will also have the ability to edit time entries to change the prevailing wage role and rate as needed to ensure an accurate entry:
