This article explains how to view production tracking progress on a contract job and how to navigate from a progress entry directly to its associated daily log, all from within Plan & Track.
Before you start, make sure you have enabled production tracking, and logged progress entries to the job. If no field progress has been submitted, the production tracking section will appear empty.
1. Open Plan & Track on a contract job
- From the main navigation, select Contract jobs.
- Open the job you want to review.
- Click the Plan & Track tab.
- In the top-right corner, use the View dropdown to select either Cost vs. Budget or Dates and Progress. Production tracking is visible in both views.
2. Review production tracking entries
- Locate the phase you want to review. Phases are listed as expandable rows.
- Click the phase row to expand it.
- Find the Production tracking section within the phase. It displays:
- A progress bar showing aggregate completion (e.g., 90/100%)
- Individual entries listed chronologically, each showing the completion percentage, date, and any field notes or photo attachments
- Review the entries to assess how field-reported progress compares to cost and budget data in the same view.
3. Navigate to a daily log from a progress entry
- Find the specific production tracking entry you want to investigate.
- Click View daily log to the right of the entry. This link appears next to the edit (pencil) icon on each entry.
- The daily log associated with that progress entry opens, showing the full log for that day — including labor, equipment, photos, notes, and any issues recorded.
