Rather than invoicing by percentage completed or dollar amount, users can invoice by number of ‘units’ completed. This can be easier to immediately understand than percentages or dollar amounts and leads to increased transparency.
When creating a unit-based AIA job/ invoice, set the total price for the line item as well as the quantity of that item to be billed
And select the Unit based option when creating your first pay application for the job:
Upon invoicing, Knowify will automatically calculate how much is due for the number of units marked completed, based on the total cost of the line items:
Note
If you do not specify number of units on the contract, Knowify will assume there is only one unit of each line item to bill for when invoicing.
