When you email an invoice with online payments enabled, Knowify includes a payment link so your customer can pay by ACH or credit card. You can customize the wording of this link to match your style, simplify the message, or translate it into another language.
This helps keep your customer communication clear and consistent — especially if you work with clients who prefer short instructions or non-English phrasing.
How to customize your payment link text
You can change the link text in your online payments settings. This setting applies to every invoice you send with a payment link.
To update your wording:
Find the field labeled "Customize the display text for online payment links included when emailing invoices"
Enter your preferred wording (e.g., “Click here to pay”, “Pagar aquí”, “Pay online”)
Save your changes
Your updated text will now appear on all future invoices that include a payment link.
Don't see this option in your admin settings? Double-check to make sure online payments is activated in your account.
What your customers will see
When you send an invoice, the email will include your customized text as the clickable payment link. Customers will be taken to the same secure payment portal you already use — only the wording changes
This can help reduce confusion, improve professionalism, and support customers in different languages.
