You can test the QuickBooks Desktop integration with a test company file. However, in order to make the sync work, you'll have to take the following considerations into account:
- Swapping company files will likely create a mismatch of QuickBooks data, which might result in sync errors.
- The data that you sync with the test company file will not sync with other company files. If you plan on just testing, then create dummy data in Knowify and test with that data. Once you feel the integration works as expected, we recommend you reaching out to our team to help you swap company files and start using the production company file. With the swap, you will have to clear all the data in the Knowify account.
- The sync will only work if (1) the test company file is open in QuickBooks or (2) QuickBooks is closed. If QuickBooks is open with a company file other than the one you granted Knowify access to, the sync will not work.
